16. Digitization records

A digitization, scienting-digitization/1, says how numbers were read off a figure panel, completely enough to repeat.

PartHolds
targetThe panel's anchor, and the region read, as a box on the page given by page_fp, with the witness's SHA-256 as evidence; or, for a figure that exists only as an image, the image's SHA-256 with the region in its pixels.
axesFor each axis: its scale (linear, log, reciprocal or date), unit, at least two calibration points from page coordinates to value, an optional third check, and its label anchored to the panel's figure text.
seriesFor each series: its legend, its mark (color, marker, line), its kind (points, line, bars, error-bars or region) and its values: each a position, a value, and an uncertainty from the image's resolution, the marker's size and the calibration's residual.
methodmanual, traced or proposed (by a model), with the tool and its version.
verificationThe overlay check: the image of the values re-plotted under the calibration, by SHA-256, and the mean and largest residual.
confirmationThe receipt of the person who confirmed it after seeing the overlay, or null.
dataset, revThe dataset it yields, and the revision it was made at.

Calibration and values are in page coordinates, not an image's pixels, so a digitization does not depend on the raster it was done on. A digitization stays current while the document has a page with its page_fp and its panel anchor is not stale. A teammate's re-download, stamped differently, has the same fingerprints, so the digitization stays current on it; a different edition or region has a different fingerprint, so a swapped image never passes. A digitization counts only when a person confirms it: a receipt with the record ["digitization", id, hash], where the hash is SHA-256 of the record without confirmation.
